Q: I am in the UK and would like to look at rifles that are designed with this in mind. I am also left-handed but can shoot right-handed if I have to. The rifle must be bolt action, and I am unsure whether or not magazines (as opposed to single-shot) are permitted by law? A .22 rifle that would suit a larger user would be ideal. Thanks.
A: in uk also in .22lr i shoot a browning buck mark pistol (long barrel) and a heavily modified ruger 1022. i can recommend both, however i don't think the ruger comes in a left hander. the pistol option is ambidextrous, and might offer a bit more of a challenge at 20 yards. if you want a bolt action, then i'd be looking at a CZ. i've used a few and this one suited me well. mags are legal - no pobs there if you do change your mind about a semi, or you find another rifle suitable for the range, just ask the dealer to put it to one side for you, and get a "variation" from the coppers - they shouldn't charge for it, and most gun shops are used to doing this. best advice is look on guntrader.co.uk or ukgunroom. just get a feel for what is comfy, short or long barrel, weight etc. dont rush into making a decision good luck, feel free to email any more questions
